Project goal: A desktop tool should be developed that accepts image files and PDFs via drag & drop, adds a 3 mm bleed in the respective pre-selected format, and outputs a print-ready PDF file in PDF/X-1 format using Fogra 39.
Main tasks:
- Development of a drag-and-drop interface for importing image files and PDFs
- Implementation of a format selection based on which the 3mm bleed is calculated and added
- Processing of AI data and non-print-ready data
- Export of the processed files as PDF/X-1 using Fogra 39
- Ensuring compatibility of the output files with the existing Fiery reject stencil program
Requirements:
- Experience in developing tools for print data processing
- Knowledge of PDF/X-1 compliance and color profiles (Fogra 39)
- Experience handling AI file formats and non-print-ready data
- Knowledge of integration or compatibility with Fiery systems is an advantage
Expected result: A fully functional tool that processes image files and PDFs via drag and drop, adds a 3mm bleed in the pre-selected format, and outputs print-ready PDF/X-1 files using Fogra 39, which can be directly transferred to the existing Fiery reject stencil program.
Ideally, the program should run on our server and be accessible in the browser via a link, or there should be a shortcut on Windows and Apple.
