Good evening, I am looking for automation engineers for my client in the automotive industry.

Project - Automation Engineer (Siemens TIA Portal) | Automotive Industry | Berlin

Project overview - 1-2 people

Join a major automotive manufacturing project focused on the development, optimization, and commissioning of automated production systems. The role involves working in a standardized powertrain environment and supporting the implementation and improvement of PLC-controlled manufacturing processes at a leading automotive customer.

Project 1:

Start: ASAP
Duration: first contract until the end of the year (option to extend afterwards)
Employment type : Freelance
Capacity: Full-time
Location: Primarily on-site deployment in Berlin
Project languages: English (fluent), German (B2)

Profile:

Extensive practical experience with Siemens TIA Portal
Experience in the TIA Portal Powertrain Standard
Proven background in PLC programming and commissioning

Tasks:

PLC programming and software development with Siemens TIA Portal
Commissioning and optimization of automation systems
Implementation of customer-specific automation standards
Troubleshooting and support during production ramp-up

Project - Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation Engineer | International Automotive Industry - Graz/USA

Project overview - 3 people - 1x Supervisor/Programmer (German-speaking) and 2x Programmers (English-speaking)

Support an international automation project in the automotive industry, encompassing machine commissioning, production ramp-up, and system optimization. The assignment begins with an intensive on-site phase at the customer's location in Graz , Austria , and continues with a long-term deployment in the USA , working closely with global engineering and production teams. Visa sponsorship/support is provided by the customer.

Project 2:

Start: November 2026
Duration: first contract until the end of 2027
Employment type : Freelance
Capacity: Full-time
Location: On-site presence at the customer's location in Graz is required until approximately March/April 2027, followed by a long-term deployment in the USA for the remainder of the project.
Project languages: English (fluent), German (only required for the supervisor position)

Profile:

Extensive experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Proven commissioning experience in industrial automation projects
Ability to work independently both locally and internationally
Comprehensive willingness to travel

Tasks:

PLC programming and commissioning with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Modification and optimization of control systems
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
