Kubernetes Spezialist (DevOps)

For this project, our client in the security technology sector is seeking an experienced DevOps/Kubernetes specialist. The role encompasses the design, implementation, and operation of highly available and isolated (air-gapped) cluster solutions. In addition to technical implementation, the role of Lead Engineer within the team will be assumed.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Conceptualization and design of Kubernetes cluster solutions for customers in the security technology sector.
• Setup and operation of cluster and container environments in high-security areas, in particular air-gapped operation and high availability.
• Ensuring high standards in IT security and reliability
• Setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and monitoring in close coordination with software development.
• Technical leadership of the team as Lead Engineer and mentoring of colleagues on cluster and container topics
• Responsibility for evaluating, introducing and supporting new platforms, tools and technologies
• Coordination with team leads and product owners
• Collaboration with the editorial team in documenting product features

Technical requirements (must-have):

• At least 5 years of project experience in DevOps as well as with container and cluster solutions.
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
• Experience with security concepts for applications in the cluster
• Experience with air-gapped or offline environments and high-availability setups
• Confident handling of deployment and CI/CD tools, especially Ansible, ArgoCD and Harbor
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and monitoring solutions
• Experience in the design, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization environments, preferably Proxmox and Hyper-V
• Source code management with Git
• Experience in technical team leadership or as a Lead Engineer
• Excellent English skills
• German language skills at least at B2 level

Desirable (Optional):

• Basic knowledge of a programming language, preferably C# / .NET
• Experience in safety-critical or regulated industries
• Technical education (HTL, FH, Uni), preferably computer science or comparable

Practical information:
This is a challenging DevOps project in a security-critical domain. In-depth expertise in Kubernetes, virtualization, and technical team leadership is required for its implementation.
