SAP Security Consultant (m/f/d) – Secure Development & Transport Management
area of ??responsibility
- Survey and evaluation of the SAP development landscape, including transport, release, and change processes.
- Creation and adaptation of test rule sets for static code analysis (rule sets, test variants, thresholds, exception logic)
- Technical contributions on secure coding guidelines for ABAP and Fiori/UI5 (input validation, authorization checks, secure error handling, permitted libraries)
- Conception of a harmonized change, release and transport process with pre-production controls and the four-eyes principle
- Auditable selection process for the successor product to the previous change request management tool
- Technical control during the activation and calibration of the testing tools and their mandatory integration
- Contributions to documentation and knowledge transfer to the end customer's teams
Qualifications
- Static code analysis: ABAP Test Cockpit and Code Inspector — build your own test variants, adapt tests, control test results and exceptions
- ABAP security analysis: SAP Code Vulnerability Analyzer or equivalent tool; vulnerability classes in ABAP (injection, missing authorization checks, directory traversal, stored access data)
- Transport and change management: Change and Transport System, Change Request Management in Solution Manager and its successor options; gCTS and abapGit as alternatives
- Development process: System modifiability, release and import control, developer permissions in conjunction with the four-eyes principle
- Technologies: ABAP including object-oriented development, Fiori and SAPUI5; difference between classic ABAP development and ABAP Cloud
- Landscapes: Multi-system landscapes, parallel transport lines, interplay of maintenance and project lines
- Process design: Specifications and testing rules are created in-house and bindingly anchored within an organization — not just applied
- Languages: German (fluent in negotiations), English (proficient in technical matters)
- Excellent communication and argumentation skills at the management level: Experienced and confident presentation of requirements to established departments, high resilience in conflict situations, and structured, comprehensible documentation of results for secure transfer to third parties.
- Proof of experience with major clients through at least two reference projects in organizations with more than one productive SAP landscape
