Business Improvement, Global Transaction Services (BI, GTS) is the first port of call for all business change within GTS, bringing together a wealth of experience from across RBS PLC and RBS NV. We are the acknowledged experts in managing change effectively, delivering real benefits to the business with minimal impact to ongoing Business As Usual activities.

This role is based within Delivery Services, which is a core component of BI, GTS. Delivery Services is a centre of excellence, supplying professional Business Analysis and Business Testing services to the delivery teams across each of our programmes. To effectively support these, we are a global team, with staff based in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, USA, India and Singapore.

As a Business Analyst within Delivery Services, you will be expected to focus on managing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. BA´s provide a range of approaches to help shape projects and to deliver them effectively, including:

• Defining the requirements strategy
• Recommending approaches and models
• Building estimates for Business Analysis resource
• Creating detailed requirements
• Process mapping and development
• UI specification
• Usability and accessibility reviews
• Building prototypes
• Data analysis
• Support for System Test execution
• Support for UAT design and execution

Skills
Business knowledge
• Change Management or related Project Management experience with a proven ability to work on own initiative to deliver optimum business solutions
• Applied knowledge of standard accepted BA principles and methodologies (such as Use Cases, UML, RUP, Six Sigma, Lean).
• Process modelling through the use of analytical tools and structured analytical techniques
• Understanding of Project Management Frameworks, documentation standards, Project Lifecycle planning
• Competent use of project tools e.g. MS Project
• Competent use of Microsoft Office

Required technical skills
The intention is to create a small team of analysts to help build and contribute to the shaping of the Delivery Services BA Engagement model, as well as define the global Business Analysis methods and standards (including a common Requirements toolkit). Furthermore, as needed, they will also be called upon to act as on call resource for new projects requiring immediate BA support.
Due to the broad range and nature of activities, we require business analysts with at least 5 years experience in business analysis, with experience of the full end to end project lifecycles. BA principles and methodologies (such as Use Cases, UML, RUP, Six Sigma, Lean, Business Process engineering). Experience of Cash Management / Commercial Banking.
Fluency in English is essential. RBS experience.
