Mission:
RBS and GTS are facing more change than ever before. The importance of change continues to increase with Senior Management focused on making the right decisions and investments with limited capital, project teams are consumed with finding the right solution to the opportunity or issue they are addressing with their projects. Managers and supervisors are working to keep the business running while implementing changes to how that work gets done, with the front line staff being the only ones who really feel the effect of change.
The Business Analyst will support the following:
Job Description:
• Gain an understanding of the key deliverables, highlights and status of the assigned projects
• Where appropriate, adopt the lead project role to start up and mobilise project activity on behalf of GTS Ops NL.
• Support in creating the discretionary funding for the relevant projects
• Support the Change Portfolio Manager on problem resolution or solutions against the appropriate initiatives.
• Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
• Reports to be produced showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.

This can be further defined as:
1) Contribute to perform effective program management on strategic very important programs to ensure programmes are delivered to realise the benefits, within a global programme context.
• Comply with the process framework for ensuring damage control and prevent negative publicity to RBS Group clients.
• Be responsible for the projects that are assigned to him/her within the portfolio.
• Support the Change Portfolio Manager to manage projects from conception through to implementation, handover and review.
• Manage progress reporting for projects and presents to Change Portfolio Manager.
2) Ensures programs and initiatives are scoped and initiated to support the achievement of the strategic objectives of OSAC GTS OPS/GPM.
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and appropriately resource programs against the strategic objectives of OSAC GTS OPS/GPM
• Liaise with Technology Services to determine infrastructure requirements within a project environment
3) Analyses project ideas and perform feasibility scans.
• Draws up a project proposal, in terms of deliverables, time frame and required resources & budget, and attunes this with relevant parties.
• Presents it for submission to the Change Portfolio Manager.
4) Project organization and start-up
• When required delivers a plan in which the most effective approach is expounded and the required time, budget, resources and risks are specified.
• Identifies elements/sub-projects in the project and designs detailed planning's, in consultation with specific parties involved.
• Organizes appropriate communication plan.
5) Project control and adjustments
• Keeps track of the progress in delivery within the projects, oversees possible deviations and takes measures accordingly.
• Designs and directs the implementation of test scenarios.
Required technical skills
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) :
• Successful implementation and management of the assigned projects
• Solution delivery and problem resolution, meeting success criteria.
• Ensuring each GTS Ops project is within the strict guidelines for bank standards (PSS or equivalent).
Knowledge and Skills:
1) Knowledge of project management:
• GTS Ops Business knowledge
• Knowledge of standards of project approach by RBS Group, project management, financial services, working organization, processes, procedures, systems and support aid.
2) Communication:
• Upholds relationships with concerned Business Units, internal disciplines and employees, stakeholders and external organizations, during projects.
• Upholds relationships with colleagues of other Business Units and disciplines regarding project activities and the quality of demands
3) Language Requirements:
• English language skills are essential, both oral and written

• Willingness to travel abroad
• No 9 to 5 mentality: this job requires availability outside business hours
