Project goal: Further development of the platform and deployment landscape through the establishment of modern DevOps practices, support of development teams, and the sustainable advancement of platform standards.
Main tasks:
- Operation and further development of a Kubernetes/OpenShift platform
- Standardization and optimization of CI/CD processes with GitLab
- Implementation of GitOps principles and deployment automation
- Integration of security and quality gates into the software lifecycle
- Support of development teams with deployment, build, and operational issues
- Creation of technical documentation and architectural decisions
- Implementation of minor adjustments in existing applications and deployments.
Requirements:
- Several years of practical experience with OpenShift/OKD in production environments, including RBAC, operators, routing, and troubleshooting. Solid Kubernetes knowledge is required.
- Several years of experience with GitLab CI/CD and building reusable pipeline standards
- Practical experience with GitOps and Kustomize
- Knowledge of supply chain security and security scanning (eg, Trivy, SBOM, CVE management)
- Experience with SonarQube and automated quality gates
- Knowledge of identity and access management (OIDC, Keycloak, certificates, secrets)
- Ability to understand changes in Java/Quarkus and TypeScript-based applications and implement minor adjustments independently
- Structured work style, good understanding of documentation, and effective stakeholder management
- Fluent German
Advantageous:
- Experience with Kafka/Strimzi
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Kibana
- Experience in platform or enablement teams
- Know-how in regulated or security-critical environments
Expected result: Establishment of technical standards, empowerment of development teams, and pragmatic implementation of CI/CD, GitOps and security topics across multiple teams. We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer who is comfortable navigating complex system landscapes and can implement sustainable solutions together with the teams.
