Responsibilities:
• Development of Java programs and software modules.
• Implementation of business requirements based on use cases and user stories.
• Design, development, and integration of Java, JEE, and Spring components.
• Development of database interfaces, web services, and components for servlet engines and application servers.
• Conducting object-oriented system analyses and system designs.
• Conducting design and code reviews.
• Developing and executing module and unit tests.
• Contributing to the definition and implementation of quality standards (e.g., clean code, design patterns, best practices).
• Optimizing development processes, especially in CI/CD environments and when using container technologies.
• Creating and maintaining technical program documentation.
Required skills:
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Java EE.
• Excellent knowledge of common Java APIs and frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, JPA, JEE APIs, REST, web services, XML).
• Experience in Java application development (at least 2 years).
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and system modeling.
• Experience with relational databases, database modeling, and SQL (e.g., Oracle).
• Good knowledge of application servers (e.g., JBoss, WildFly).
• Proficient use of development tools such as IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
• Experience with agile software development (e.g., Scrum).
• Completed IT or technical education (HTL, FH, university, or comparable qualification) and at least 3 years of professional experience in IT (at least 30 hours per week), or
• at least 5 years of professional experience in the IT industry (at least 30 hours per week).
Project references:
• Evidence of at least 250 person-days of project experience, with at least 7 of the required activities performed.
• Each reference project must demonstrate at least 50 person-days and a project duration of at least 6 months.
Reference projects must have been completed within the last 3 years and must originate from clients based in the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland.
For each reference, the project title, a brief description, the project period, the scope of services provided (person-days and role), and the activities performed
must be specified. A contact person from the client (name, company, contact details) must be named for each reference; furthermore, confirmation that the services were properly performed must be provided.
The references must clearly identify the specific portion of the services provided by the bidder.
Desirable skills:
• Knowledge of microservices and Docker.
• Experience in object-oriented system modeling (UML, ER, use cases).
• Experience in designing and implementing automated tests.
• Experience with software quality assurance processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, FindBugs).
• Experience in responsive design.
• Knowledge of modern web technologies (JavaScript, React, Jasmine).
• Experience with performance-critical software solutions.
