In the Merchant Banking domain (Markets) is a need for monitoring daily P&L and for insight in contract and valuation information. Since this information is scattered through a lot of different trade capturing and controlling systems, a central integrated reporting environment is needed. In the Business Intelligence Competence Center (part of IT Solutions), this reporting environment is created and maintained. New systems will be disclosed, new business requirements need to be translated to designs and ETL needs to be created.

• Gathering of information needs;
• Analysing information;
• Data modelling, developing the Information Requirements Model and Logical Data Model;
• Designing data delivery specifications for reporting, end-user ad-hoc queries and data mining;
• Building universes and reports in Business Objects (or other end-user data delivery environments);
• Executing Release Management;
• Giving input to BICC management regarding improvement of process, organisation and structures;
• Supporting developers ETL with work.
 

Wensen en eisen:
• BI methodologies;
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques;
• Data warehouse and Data Marts principles, Universes, OLAP;
• ETL methodologie;
• BI data delivery environment and Business Objects;
• General banking knowledge (preferable Global Financial Markets);
• Executing information analysis;
• Executing impact analysis on Requests for Change;
• Developing functional and technical design of BI environments;
• Developing reports and queries for end-user usage;
• Building universes and creating reports with SAP Business Objects;
• Experienced in BO 6.5 (Reporter. Designer, Scheduler, EQM);
• Experienced in building universes and creating custom reports with SQL;
• Experience in making ETL with Powercenter;
• Experience in writing scripts in Unix;
• Organizing and conducting (prototyping) workshops with end-users;
• Writing technical and user documentation;
• Communicating, bridging business and IT;
• Abstract & Analytical thinking;
