Senior Project Engineer Robotik / Automatisierung (m/w/d)

Project:

For a long-term project with an internationally operating manufacturer of automation and robotics solutions, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to manage complex customer projects from initial technical inquiry to implementation.

The focus will be on the technical evaluation of customer requirements, the development of suitable automation concepts, and the coordination of multiple parallel projects in special-purpose machinery and plant engineering.

Tasks

• Technical review and evaluation of customer requests regarding feasibility and implementation
• Recording and analysis of technical requirements
• Development of automation and plant concepts
• Support with feasibility studies and technical proposals
• Independent management of technical projects from initial inquiry to completion.
• Coordination of engineering, sales, customers and external project partners
• Planning and monitoring of resources, deadlines, costs and project progress
• Ensuring technical quality within the project objectives
• Managing small interdisciplinary engineering teams
• Identification of technical risks and initiation of appropriate countermeasures
• Support during commissioning, acceptance testing and project handover
• Conducting technical project reviews

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer, Technical Project Manager or Lead Engineer
• Excellent knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • robotics
  • industrial automation
  • Special machine construction
  • Plant construction
  • Mechatronics
• Good understanding of automation and electrical engineering
• Experience in the technical evaluation of customer requirements
• Experience with requirements specifications and technical specifications
• Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary engineering teams
• Confident in project management with regard to deadlines, costs, resources and quality
• Experience in direct customer contact
• Very good German skills
• Good English skills
• Willingness to make occasional customer visits

• Experience in international plant engineering

Project Environment:

This project offers a technically demanding task with a high degree of autonomy. The freelancer is involved from the concept and feasibility phase and will support the projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial planning to implementation.
