Senior Project manager

Voor onze opdrachtgever zijn wij op zoek naar een Senior Project manager (RBS 30) 


The Project Manager will be responsible for running and coordinating a couple of projects but also be working hands-on with these projects. The candidate needs to have a proven track record of working on projects from end-to-end and completing the project life cycle. RBS experience is an advantage but not compulsory. Job description:
• Provide initiation, definition, delivery and closure of projects within agreed timescales to Time, Cost and Quality 
• Manage projects of medium size and complexity within the Programme portfolio 
• Manage a team of Business Analysts and / or allocated business resource 
• Likely to be working direct for a Programme Manager or for a Senior Change Manager, with limited supervision 
• Provides project management expertise and leads key project workstreams, working with the full project life cycle, following project Governance processes 
• Identify interdependent projects and ensure these are clearly understood and managed 


Key role deliverables: 
• Scope, plan and manage projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality.  This includes ensuring that the solution is capable of enabling the business to achieve benefit realisation 
• Responsible for accurate and timely reporting against the project plan and budget in line with agreed Programme governance 
• Identify and evaluate project risks and issues and devise and implement effective mitigation strategies 
• Stakeholder, people and relationship management 
• Promotion of an environment of continuous improvement ensuring a QA process is applied through the project lifecycle 


Experience: 
• Significant Change Management experience 
• Functional knowledge of Operations and related Technology 
• Project Lifecycle planning and delivery of projects of between 3-9 months duration 
• Commercial acumen with a track record of benefits delivery 
• Experience of managing and controlling costs to a budget successfully 


Other Significant Role Requirements: 
• Holding, or willingness to study for, a recognised formal qualification in Project Management to certified level is desirable 
• Use of an established project management methodology ensuring formal tracking of projects and a clear audit trail 
• Requirement to travel will feature  




Technical Knowledge: 
• In depth knowledge and proven application of Project Management methodology and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk modelling, change controls, quality frameworks and compliance 
• Familiarity with process modelling, workshop facilitation and business analysis 
• Knowledge of the current business operating model and supporting systems / applications including structures and key RBS processes and procedures across RBS Group 
• Knowledge of banking products and terminology 
• Proficient use of project tools e.g. MS Project, Microsoft Office etc
