About Us

We are an IT service provider specializing in software testing and development. We are a young, dynamic team with flat hierarchies – for us, the person matters, not the title. We are currently seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer on a freelance basis for our client projects.

Framework conditions

Contract type: Freelance
Hourly rate: €40–50/hour (negotiable, depending on experience and project scope)
Location: Remote, with occasional on-site presence at the client's location in Austria (1-3 days/month, travel expenses are covered)

Your task

You will support our customer teams and work closely in the areas of test automation, test architecture, and quality assurance. In addition to project work, we offer you further training opportunities in testing and/or development.

Your daily tasks

Quality assurance during the introduction of applications
Consulting in the areas of test strategy and test management
Creation of test concepts and test plans
Creation, review and maintenance of test cases and test data
Conducting and documenting tests (in 2-week sprints)
Analysis, recording and tracking of errors
Definition of acceptance criteria in collaboration with project management
Reporting and tracking of test progress and test coverage
Planning of test environments and test data
Selection and management of testing tools
Support and further development of test automation
Coordination with the relevant departments regarding the execution of acceptance tests

Confluence
Selenium
Playwright
Working in Scrum and agile (Agile) development environments

Professional profile

Excellent German skills, both spoken and written.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in software testing, including several years in test automation.
Solid knowledge of test methods, test levels, test types, and test case design
Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in the design and implementation of automated test strategies and test concepts
ISTQB Foundation Level is an advantage
